Chibi Ryuu- Japanese for "Super deformed" dragon. Chibi Ryuu Anime is an internet forum created for anime Otaku in English-speaking countries, particularly the United States and Canada, to discuss and promote anything of interest to fans of Japanese animation . These interests include but are not restricted to: music, video games, movies, anime, manga, roleplaying (in the form of back and forth Fan fiction), poetry, and fan art from assorted subjects.

History

In 2004, several students in a school decided to start on a "wall of anime" where art, fanart, and assorted images from and relating to well liked Japanese games and cartoons were placed. The wall became popular, and out of it grew the name for a wall-dedicated group within the school, the Chibi Ryuu Anime Club. The original creators of the wall made a website, C.R.A.C. for discussion of popular subjects among fans of Japanese animation. However, aside from a few new members that were told about the site verbally by the creators, the site recieved no traffic and remained stagnant.
In July 29th, 2006 C.R.A.C. was recreated in a new page due to problems with the original format and an excess of advertisements from the host site. The site now goes by the name Chibi Ryuu Anime, and current attempts by the administrators and moderators to increase traffic are underway to promote the popularity of the site as a place for members of the original Chibi Ryuu Anime Club, current members of the club dedicated to the anime wall within the school, and any other fans of Japanese animation in the United States and Canada to discuss shared interests.
