The name alone is enough to make you want to meet this
multi-talented young actor, musician, and model. Chioke Dmachi, is
a featured member of the ensemble cast which includes Sinbad,
Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Wesley Jonathan, in the upcoming film
Cuttin Da Mustard. Chosen for closing night honors, the film
premieres at The 15th Annual Pan African Film & Arts Festival,
February 18, 2007. The comedy chronicles the lives of young
aspiring actors pursuing their dreams while creating a community
theatre company. He has a lead role in the independent feature I
Promise, where he plays an abused run away foster kid, in this
gripping, provocative, family drama. Chioke has appeared in
episodes of several television series including , CSI: Miami, and
House.
Chioke grew up in Hollywood and graduated from Redlands
High School, where he was a member of Masqures, the advanced
theatre production ensemble and also won the “Mock Trial” award
outstanding performance as prosecution witness. He always knew he
wanted to share his talents with the world and at the age of
thirteen he began to take acting classes. Currently he studies at
Susan Baston’s Black Nexxus. He has a very successful commercial
career and has appeared in commercials for Pepsi, Secret Deodorant,
and Hyundai and also print ads for Unionbay and Wrigley’s. Chioke’s
witty appearance and always cheerful personality are part of his
trademark charm. He writes short stories, poems and songs, and
recently signed a contract with Bliss Tunes Recording Corporation.
He has released two singles, “Alright,” which is featured in both
Cuttin Da Mustard and Brothers in Arms and “Shake it For Me.”
Chioke truly considers himself “multimedia” because he loves all
aspects of his career.
In 2003 Chioke was recognized for his
dedication to philanthropy when named co-spokesperson with Haylie
Duff for the non-profit organization “Kids with a Cause.” The
organizations mission is to alleviate adversity among children
experiencing poverty, homelessness, and illness. His tenure with
“Kids with a Cause” spans a half a decade, attesting to his deep
seated values of giving back to society. When not engaged in his
many pursuits, Chioke enjoys horse back riding, tennis, and
traveling.
He resides in Los Angeles, with his brown and white
Dalmatian Marbie, and his two cats, Ash and Chi.
