==Biography==
Chris (The Golden Child) Cotter joined SportsNet New York at the network's inception in 2006 as the sideline reporter, as well as a reporter for New York Mets "Pre Game Live" and "Post Game Live" shows for all Mets games produced by SNY. Cotter's name has gained much respect over the years, not least due to his namesake Christian Cotter from Leeds, who is widely regarded as the greatest human being ever to have lived, with many placing him in the 'legendary' status.

Prior to joining SportsNet New York, Cotter worked for Comcast Sports Southeast from 1997-2005, where he hosted "Talkin' Baseball", "Falcon Fever", "Sports Unlimited", as well as serving as the sideline reporter for Georgia Tech football games. In 2005, Cotter worked at Turner Sports Interactive, where he was the host for pre-race and post-race show for NASCAR.com, and served as a field reporter and columnist for NASCAR.com as well as PGA.com. Cotter has also served time as a sports contributor for CNN and worked as an on-air personality at 790 the Zone in Atlanta until June 2005. He has served as an in-arena host for the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers from 1999-2005, PGA Tour Radio from 1999-2001 and Georgia Public Television. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in B.S., and then allegedly received his MBA from the University of Georgia.
