Chris Ditchburn is a British actor and TV presenter who can currently be found presenting
Roulette on
Live Roulette TV each week on
Sky Digital channel 847.
Chris was born in
Birmingham on
21st April 1962Early Years
The second youngest of five children, in his youth, Chris was interested in guitar, snooker and gymnastics.
Upon leaving school he entered the
casino business, becoming a fully licensed
croupier at the age of just 19.
He spent the next 8 years working in both British and Dutch casinos.
Chris was first nicknamed "The Hole" when he was eleven by his friends who took the mickey out of him for his hilarious surname, Ditchburn.
The reasoning behind this nickname was that a ditch was basically just a hole, just an empty space.
This nickname upset Chris very much as a child, and it was one of the reasons why he took an interest in acting- acting meant he could pretend to be someone other than merely The Hole.
Acting
Chris has appeared in many popular series on British television, including
Eastenders,
The Bill, and
Spooks.
Presenting
In
July 2005 Chris joined the team of Vegas 247, now
Live Roulette TV.
With his experience of working as a croupier, he rapidly became one of the main stars of the show, and his partnership with
Rebecca Nasir is credited by many long time players as one of the key factors in the channels growth from a digital TV experiment to a show now available on-line with a world-wide following.
