Chris Jagger --usually just Jagger on the air-- is a former television talk show host, and is currently a radio talk show host for Dallas' radio station Live 105.3.

LovePhones

Jagger was a co-host along with Clinical Psychologist, Certified Sex Therapist, Dr. Judy Kuriansky on a nationally syndicated radio show called LovePhones from 1992-1998. The show discussed topics such as love, relationships, and sex. It aired weekdays from 10pm to midnight from the Z100 studios in Secaucus, NJ, and then later from the New York City studios of Westwood One and was carried in over 50 radio markets in the USA.

Change of Heart

Jagger was hired by Warner Brothers Television and TelePictures as host of the popular dating game show Change of Heart from 1998-2001, and again from 2002-03 after hosting was taken over by Lynne Koplitz for one season (2001-02). "Change of Heart" was a national ratings success for 5 seasons and syndicated in over 90% of the U.S. television markets and various countries around the world. The success of the show prompted comedy skits from MAD TV on FOX. It also landed Jagger on "The Jamie Fox Show" as he played himself as host of "Change of Heart" with Jamie Fox's character and TV girlfriend appearing on the dating reality show. Jagger showed up on an episode of "Friends" on NBC when Chandler and Joey were watching an episode of "Change of Heart" and you could see him on their TV screen in their living room, and "Change of Heart" was featured in an episode of "Six Feet Under" on HBO with the mom lamenting "why do people go on shows like this".

The success of "Change of Heart" launched a whole genre of reality based dating shows the following year including "Blind Date", "Tempataion Island" (which was basically "Change of Heart" on an exotic island) and a slew of MTV dating shows that remain popular to this day.

"Change of Heart" was launched in the fall of 1998 as the second half of an hour block of reality based dating programming with the return of "Love Connection" with it's new host Pat Bullard, replacing Chuck Woolery, as the lead in. Within a few months it was obvious that "Change of Heart" was the show drawing all the attention and it was then flipped to the lead position in the hour. By the end of the first season "Love Connection" was cancelled and many stations began running back to back episodes of "Change of Heart". It was noted at the height of it's popularity that "Change of Heart" would often have higher ratings in some markets than "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno and "Late Night" with David Letterman.

Jagger's popularity during his time on "Change of Heart" led him to a movie role that he added to his credits as well as a voiceover talent in which he was heard on a national campaign of TV commercials for Wendy's fast food restaurants. He was guest host on numerous occasions on E! Television Networks "Talk Soup" and co-hosted a special Valentine's Day edition with then host Hal Sparks. And if he wasn't busy enough, during his third year as host of "Change of Heart", Jagger was a special correspondent on the syndicated entertainment TV program "Extra" reporting on stories and segments related to dating and relationships. "Extra was also produced by Warner Brothers and TelePictures and filmed at the same studios outside of Burbank, CA.

During his run as host of "Change of Heart" Jagger never gave up his radio career as he flew to Los Angeles to tape a block of 10 shows per weekend (and then later to New York City during the shows final season) and returned to Dallas, TX to do his daily morning radio show.

Currently:
Jagger hosts "The Jagger Show" from 5:00 am - 10:30 am with on-air personalities: Mondo Mike, Dean Lewis, and Jasmine Sadry. As of 2008 they have also added Jimmy the Producer. The show generally covers topics and material appealing to its target demographic of males aged 25–54.[105] Since moving to Live 105.3 Jagger has gained a following he calls "The Jagger Mafia" and has helped to improve Live 105.3's morning show ratings left from the failed attempts of David Lee Roth and Opie and Anthony.

KDGE "The Edge"

Jagger anchored the morning show at the Dallas alternative rock station, KDGE "The Edge", for 8 years until he and the radio station could not come to terms on renewing his contract. The radio personality survived through many changes that his show and the station itself experienced. On 1 October 2000 the station changed ownership—something common after the Telecommunications Act of 1996—and frequencies (from 94.5 to 102.1). The different incarnations of the show include[106][107]:
  • The Morning Edge with Jagger and Ryan - 23 April 1998 (Ryan Chase)
  • The Morning Edge with Jagger, Ryan and Michelle - October 1998 (Michelle Boros)
  • The Morning Edge with Jagger, Ryan and Julie (Julie Fisk)

Chris Jagger was in Dallas just 10 days when the call came from Los Angeles. After two auditions, Hollywood producers wanted him to be the host of Change of Heart, a relationship game show on The WB network. It was the break he was looking for after two decades as a radio personality - a chance to make it big on the small screen.
