Chris Reilly (born
1979) is an award-winning
radio newscaster in
New York City. He rose to prominence as an
anchor at two of the most-listened-to
radio stations in America,
1010 WINS and
WNYC, New York
Public Radio. He is frequently hailed as one of
the top broadcasters in New York today.
Early Life
Chris
was born in
Massachusetts and raised in the northern
Connecticut town
of Enfield

Education
He attended
Catholic
elementary school and
public middle school and
high school.
In
1997, Reilly entered
Fordham University. He graduated in
2001 with a
bachelor of arts
degrees in
English. Reilly's training can often be
heard in the language he uses to paint pictures of daily life in
New York
City during his newscasts.
Fordham's
motto is "wisdom and doctrine," two values that Reilly
displays on the radio prominently.
Career in Radio
Reilly's radio
career
began in the late
1990s,
while still a
student at
Fordham. He anchored the
afternoon newscasts
on the university's
public radio station,
WFUV.
Reilly was subsequently hired to anchor the
news on two of the most-popular news stations in
America. Reilly also reported on
financial news on
The Wall Street Journal's radio
network.
On
weekdays, he can be heard on
New York Public Radio WNYC, where he
anchors the midday newscasts, and occasionally serves as the local
host of the
National Public Radio programs
Morning
Edition and
All Things Considered. Reilly also
writes and anchors newscasts on the most-listened-to
radio station in the
United
States,
1010
WINS, where his voice can also be heard on broadcast
commercials.
