Statistics about the fellowship
A very extreme pentecostal group is lead by the self-appointed "Pastor" Scott Williams from bases in Coffs Harbour in New South Wales and Scotland.
Approximately 12 assemblies with 400 followers (including children) in Europe adhere to the group - particularly from Germany and Scotland until mid of 2006.
In 2006 and currently the number of the people dropped down to ca. 250 persons (including children) due to some "immoral activities" of the so called overseer Anthony Scott Williams, which have been revealed and reported to the relevant authorities.
The group should be categorised as a Pseudo Christian Cult , since it is based on a societal organization that includes the totalitarian thought-reform and life-control tactics normally considered characteristic of a cult.
This group has not grown since 1986.
As members left the group, others joined.
History & Facts
The first name of this group was "Pfingsten Erweckungs Bewegung",= German for Pentecost Revival Centre or Movement.
The group started in Feldafing (Bavaria, Germany) in the "Fernmeldeschule" of the German Army (translates to "School of Signals") where Williams was employed as swimming pool attendant in 1980.
He spread his personal Bible interpretation throughout the military base and visiting students from all over Germany, and some people "got saved" into his fellowship, forming the beginning of the so called "cell group system" (House groups) which were introduced and established by the leader throughout Europe and around the world.
At an early stage the group was renamed in Revival Centres International, due to an affiliation with an Australian Church of the same name.
This affiliation was mutually cancelled in 1991, and from that point onwards it was named Christian Assemblies International and / or Christian Assemblies Europe.
In 1993 a young German Military Police officer called Michael Krause joined the group.
He quickly became a member of the central leadership, managed to infiltrate the inner circle, usurp control of the advisory council within, and took over ALL financial responsibility of the CAI.
Presently he is the sole person in charge and control of all funds and properties, and since Sept.
2006 he was officially put in control of the church (all these measures were enforced in a dictatorial manner - no church board or council of elders exists or has ever been recognized, as is usual in any christian main stream church).
Michael Krause has been adopted by Anthony Scott Williams, changed his name to Michael Williams and so-called testimonies were issued in open statements to the church, as to the miracle which brought Michael Krause to Scott Williams' side.
The leader reported that, whilst Michael Krause spent one night with him during a conference in Cornwall/UK in the 90's, the 'heavens opened' and incredible and un-utterable things were experienced.
Michael was presented to all officers the next day and declared to be the 'golden boy', sent by the Lord for friendship and to protect the Pastor.
At a later stage these so-called holy visitations and revelations were admitted to have only been designed as a smokescreen for the assemblies, to hide the homosexual activities that went on between the pastor and golden boy.
This was revealed in front of witnesses, with the solemn warning that any revelation would bring hellfire down on the person.
Michael essentially acts as a 'puppet' leader, since his adoptive father Scott Williams was forced to resign amongst allegations of exactly these homosexual activities and financial misconduct.
Scott Williams has admitted openly "by the way" that he perpetrated homosexual actions with assembly members - allegedly after what can only be described as excerting undue psychological/spiritual pressure.
In January 2007 Scott Williams restored himself as leader of the group again, without showing any remorse or repentance regarding his corrupt, un-christian and hypocritical deeds as has been reported.
His status , benefits and lifestyle have not been affected.
He still commands the control and use of all CAI properties, finances and all other benefits enticed from his 'blind' followers.
Special Doctrines
The Christian Assemblies International and Christian Assemblies Europe teach the necessity of 'speaking in tongues' and "baptism by full imersion" being conditional for salvation (imperative), and deny salvation by faith alone.
The sect is based on strong teachings and the bible knowledge of their members seems to be phenomenal somehow.
Unfortunately this applies as well on so called wrong teachings and Scott Williams' personal interpretation of the Scriptures, as many insider will tell.
The Pastor often choses isolated Bible verses that can be easily twisted to support the meaning of his teachings.
Insider reported that the leadership is good at manipulating the Bible to make it say what they want it to, but they lack any "real knowledge" or understanding of it.
They try to avoid the bits that don't fit in with their doctrine.
So-called church fathers (Wesley, Calvin, General Booth - Salvation Army, Finney, etc) are freely quoted and presented as having been ultra-strict teachers, therefore CAI-member can be required to follow instructions unquestionably.
However, any conflicting teaching of the church fathers' regarding Anthony Scott Williams' corrupt practices and his christian cult doctrines, are hidden from the CAI members and they are actively discouraged (under threats of punishment, being cut-off, suffering eternal damnation, being called wolves, slander and defamation in front of the church, etc) to consider any outside, independent and Scipturally sound information.
Members are more or less forced to build same-sex friendships amongst the men within the assembly.
This is justified by labouring the ONE example in the Old Testament, where David and Jonathan agree on forming a covenant of everlasting friendship.
In reality, these 'CAI-friendships/covenants' establish a breaking down of barriers in individuals, customary hugging and kissing each other 'with a holy kiss', bonding rituals, and eventually persons are encouraged to reveal their innermost sins and weaknesses - facts which will be used at a later stage to either control those persons, lead them into homosexual activities, infesting their conscience with guilt, split up families, divide children from their parents and more.
They arrange "massage evenings" where men are more or less naked and "serve" each other with massages.
They compare this practise with the biblical "foot washing".
Meanwhile it has been seen that this kind of practise was introduced as "grooming/braking -in" to prepare some of the men for homosexual liasons with the "overseer" Scott Williams.
Parents are being encouraged to educate their children (especially young boys) to perceive every adult within the CAI as trustworthy, addressing all as either 'uncles or aunties'.
Any officers in the CAI have do be deemed of being worthy of more respect, love and obedience.
Being presented to the (homosexual) Pastor / Overseer is supposed to be a special honour for the children and should be aspired to.
Any contact with (Pastor) Scott Williams is to be viewed as an extremely rare opportunity to partake of the 'Finest of the Wheat', a CAI term which disguises the real direction all CAI doctrine leads to.
By twisting Holy Scripture and giving it his personal slant, Scott Williams managed to draw unsuspecting seekers for Christ into his cult (numbers were about 400, August 2006), seducing them to direct ALL THEIR efforts to feed his own extravagant and lavish lifestyle: Labour, finances, gifts, offerings, tithes, working bees, punishment duties, extra offerings, holiday offerings for the leadership, flight offerings to help leadership to get to their holidays, offerings to buy gras seed / trees / plants / domestic items / cats / dogs / fences / security equipment / observation cameras / razor wire / automatic gates / fortification of CAI properties / cars, more offerings to attend conferences around the world, more offerings to enjoy those deserved $20,000 holiday cruises, and more.
Any questions and thoughts regarding the validity of doctrine and customs in the CAI are strongly discouraged, usually a group of ultra loyal (brainwashed) members (of the inner circle called KG, e.g.: Kern Gruppe / Centre Group) is called upon to 'deal with' the individual, pass judgement and decide on suitable punishment.
Any reasonable questions are made out to be 'Strange Fire'- worthy of damnation, reference is made to the Old Testament where Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire ...
(Numbers 3:4).
They hold to the British-Israel doctrine which is used to support white supremacy in some Christian Identity circles.
Bible numerics, pyramidology, and King James Only theology are also taught.
The assembly believes in the "The Father's Blessing" (introduced already in 1990).
Such practices which has been made public through the spiritualist Kathryn Kuhlman and the so called evangelist Benny Hinn and through the former "Vineyard Christian Fellowship" in Toronto the "Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship" where the phenomena got its modern name "Toronto blessing".
Also Scott Williams introduced the occult "vizualisation techniques" into his fellowship.
They also believe in the very often criticised teaching of the "inner man" (E.
W.
Kenyon) and partly in the "word of faith" doctrine founded of the metaphysician E.
W.
Kenyon and later by Kenneth Hagin and made more popular through the very argumentative books and teachings of the founder of the so called biggest induvidual christian church (mainly in South Korea) in the world David Yonggi Cho.
Family
"Let the dead bury their dead" (from Luke 9;60) is the central teaching towards unbelievers including family members.
The result is very often the cold behaviour of the fellowship members towards their own families and finally the disunite of families.
The assembly and the obedience towards the leadership of the sect is always more important then the constancy of the family lives.
The role of wife is to follow and to obey their husbands as long as the "family heads" follows the doctrine of the fellowship.
Women are treated as little more than slaves and are subjected to constant discrimination because of their sex.
Many have been openly chastised in front of the church.
The same applies for children.
They have to obey their parents and their chastisements are much sronger.
The Leadership controls their members through a mixture of psychologic pressure and bible verses and the members are provoked sometimes to tell even the most intimate things (e. g. about their sex life)!
