Christian Bernard Singer (born 1962) is a contemporary environmental installation artist born in Paris, France.
He currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
Early Life and Artwork
Christian Bernard Singer grew up in New York City where he worked as a company dancer with Laura Foreman's Composers and Choreographers Theater until 1974.
In the mid 1980s he moved to Toronto where he made a transition from performance and choreography to painting and eventually to sculpture.
Starting around 2000 Singer’s work began to incorporate natural elements and primarily consisted of living-art installations in a natural setting or in a gallery.
