Christian Guild Holidays is the largest Christian hotel organisation in the UK, accommodating more guests collectively than any other Christian holiday group nationwide.
It runs hotels across England, catering mainly for those of the Christian Faith, especially Christian families.<ref> </ref>
The company owns six hotels:
Abbott Hall, South LakesLindors Country House, Wye ValleyMoorlands Hotel, North YorkshireSidholme, DevonTreloyhan Manor, CornwallWillersley Castle, Derbyshire DalesThe hotels are mostly located within spacious grounds, with plenty of sporting and recreation facilities.
Whilst hugely popular with younger Christian families, The hotels are mainly frequented by older people when it is out of season (i.e.
Term-Time).
Themes & Activities
Each hotel has its own calendar of themed weeks, some designed to appeal to different interest groups.
Some of the special interest breaks include Singing, Painting, Walking and Coach Tour weeks.
During the holiday seasons, 'Family Fun' weeks usually occupy the calendar.
Hosts
Christian Guild Hotels are somewhat different from most hotels, in that there is a greater sense of fellowship amongst guests.<ref> </ref>
Also, each week (or weeks), there is a Host family, or couple, who help liase between guests and hotel management, and organise the events, etc. The hosts are guests, who sign up beforehand to play this role.
Worship
Christian worship is rooted into the very day to day running of Christian Guild Holidays.
There are many opportunities to partake in worship- Worship usually takes place in the morning (prayers session), and in the evening.
Grace is said at every meal in the hotel dining rooms by the host.

Abbot Hall
Abbot hall is located in the Southern Lake District, in the hamlet of Kent's Bank, near
Grange-over-Sands,
Cumbria.
The grounds overlook
Morecambe Bay, and is within 2 minutes walking distance of the nearest train station at Kent's Bank.
It has a swimming pool, and five pine lodges, additional to the main hotel.
The hotel serves as a good base for those wishing to explore the
Lake District, with excellent rail links.
Lindors Country House
Lindors is situated in the
Wye Valley in England, just over half a mile from the
Welsh Border.
Lindors has the largest gardens of all the Christian Guild Hotels, with a river and waterfall flowing through the site- Lindors is the most picturesque of all the hotels.
The hotel was featured in the
ITV drama, Arthur's Dyke, where both the exterior and interior were used for filming purposes.
There is a swimming pool and five pine lodges on site.
Moorlands
Moorlands is located on the seafront in
Whitby,
Yorkshire.
Being a seafront property, it has limited grounds, and only posesses a small side garden.
It is the smallest of the Christian Guild Hotels.
Moorlands tends to appeal more to the older guest, due to its location in a relatively quiet, seaside town.
The events and theme weeks reflect this, with more coach trips and quieter activities planned throughout the year.
Due to its limited grounds on the seafront, there are no swimming facilities or lodges on site
Sidholme
Situated in the town of
Sidmouth,
Devon, Sidholme is popular with families on summer holiday.
The hotel has a swimming pool, and is notable for its grand music room, which occupies a large, gothic style organ.
It has a full size snooker table in the snooker room, which is popular with guests.
With 130 beds in 73 bedrooms, Sidholme is the largest of the Christian Guild Hotels.
Treloyhan Manor
Treloyhan Manor sits just above one of the many beaches at
St Ives,
Cornwall, and is close to many Cornish attractions, including
Lizard Point,
The Eden Project, and
Flambards Theme Park.
The hotel, therefore is hugely popular with families during the summer holidays.
Willersley Castle
Willersley Castle is situated in a hillside in
Cromford within the
Peak District.
The hotel building is a 200 year old Grade II listed building <ref> </ref> Located in the
Peak District, it is an ideal location for exploring the national park.
The hotel has multiple levels, and is served by a lift.
A swimming pool also exists on site.
