Chris Robertson is best known as an actor and
electronic music festival promoter.
Biography
Born in
Beverly
Hills in 1977, he graduated from
Agoura High
School in 1995. He graduated from
California Polytechnic
State University, San Luis Obispo in 2001 with a Bachelor of
Science.
Chris spearheaded the first worldwide
Electronica Music Festival,
Release2000 -The Fight For Freedom in 2000. The event featured live
Electronica
DJ's from around the world in 300
different locations. Using live-sat video feeds in multiple
locations projected on screens at the events, live DJ sets were
broadcast online and on stage. The audience, collectively totaled
over 625,000. A large portion of the proceeds were donated to
charities including political prisioners. Chris is an advocate of
drug awareness and drug-free electronica events.
He founded,
C-Note Productions, and partnered with Good-e-Records (owned by
Larry Harris, Jr.) to organize over 100 electronica music festivals
and permitted "
raves" in
Southern California and on the Central Coast, California. Most
notably were Chomp-e-Stomp, House of Love, Alucent and Nature.
Between 1998 and 2001, Chris and Larry teamed up to produce albums
for several DJ's, including
Drum and Bass artists Kid Red, Case, Direct,
JunGLe and Los Angeles House artist DJ Sparkx aka Freddy Anderson.
C-Note and Good-e-Recs also have collaborated with notables such as
B3Cande, Coolworld and Go-Ventures on events such as Cyberfest,
Planet New Year, How Sweet It Is, and Ju-Ju Beats.
Chris starred
in
Groove ,
a film 2000 about underground rave culture. He has also produced
several documentaries about electronic music festivals and the
underground rave culture.
In 2000 and 2001, URB Magazine dubbed
C-Note Productions one of the "Top Promoters" in
California.
Chris is currently lives in Orange County, Ca. and
has retired from music festival promotion. He is an avid sports car
collector and is in Mortgage Finance.
