The
Christos
Coins, alternatively known to early
Christians as the
Coins
of Christ and the
Windows in the Wall of
Life to early desert tribes are a small group of coins
associated with the life of
Jesus. Said to have numbered four, their earliest
known recorded historical reference was in the writings of a middle
ages
Jesuit priest
commissioned to document the whereabouts and existence of holy
relics.
This was thought to have been commenced after stories of
King
John having stolen many of the relics about the time of his
excommunication.
Legend has it that the
coins were sewn into Christ's clothing as a security measure during
his politically controversial period, probably by one of his
closest followers. The coins were retrieved from the hood of his
cloak a short time after his death, and were marked and kept safe
during the Roman occupation years. Little is known of the next
period, although mention of them occurs in desert tribal legend -
The Windows in the Wall of Life.
They were then said to have
been taken to
England at
the fall of
Jerusalem. Once again, a great gap in their known
whereabouts occurred. This is where King John's avarice at seizing
Church wealth which resulted in his excommunication by the
Pope caused the coins to be
hidden.
The next known evidence of one of the coins existence
was with the early settlers to the
Americas. It was owned by a family who played a
part in the early formation of America's law structure as we now
know it.
The coin is reputed to have been used as a notary seal
and is linked with many a great deed.

In 2005 I was paid to act in a dramatisation of the story
of THE CHRISTOS COIN. In the course of learning the script I got to
see the original coin WOW.
I met the corporation that owns and
manages the coin and its many charitable events. I am very proud to
have been given the chance to help bring a part of this wonderful
religious story to the world again. I learnt that the original
researcher the priest De/Suza spent his entire life tracing the
movements of the coin. Nik K

Suza's research provided the cornerstone of our understading of the
legend of The Christos Coin. In later centuries his work would be
plagiarized and certain elements used by modern popular post
religion authors.
One notable scholar not of his mold was T E
Lawernce who refered, with great reference, to The Windows in the
Wall of Life in the 1920's treaties on the desert tribes.
A close
friend of Col. Lawrence was the noted authors W. Somerset Maugham.
In his classic mid 1930's book The Razors Edge, the central
character Larry travels to the East for enlightenment. He sees God
while meditating on a moutain side. On his return to New York he
cures sickness with an ancient coin. Maugham was so taken by the
coin story that he allowed himself to be portrayed in the 1945
movie adaptation of his book where he voiced the words "Larry had
found the greatest gift of all - Goodness". With that the film
ended.
