Cinder Block, born Cindy Morgan, is an American punk rock vocalist and visual artist.[1] Cinder sang for Fat Wreck band, Tilt from 1992 to 2001.[2] She sang with all girl band, Fabulous Disaster for a short time.[3] She would then go on to form the hardcore punk band, Retching Red.[4] Her lyrics typically alternate between leftist political themes and more irrevent themes.[5] She was married to Jeffrey Bischoff, former Tilt guitarist, with whom she co-founded a licensing and merchandising store, Cinder Block Inc.[6] She is currently married to Mike "Cyco Loco" Avilez, bassist for Retching Red, and the vocalist for the 1990s punk bands Oppressed Logic, Strung Up and Last Round Up. Cinder makes silkscreens and has been doing so for almost two decades.[7] She also worked for Fabula magazine and Punk Rock Confidential.[8]
