Cinnamon Girl Hawaii

Cinnamon Girl is a Hawaii based company that was founded by local entrepeneurs Jonelle and Reid Fujita. Based upon the concept of selling a line of matching clothing for mothers and daughters, the company has become known world wide for their feminine and romantic designs. Currenlty there are eight stores located within the islands with six locations on Oahu (Sheraton Moana Surfrider in Waikiki, Pearlridge Mall Uptown, Ward Warehouse, Ala Moana Center, Windward Mall, and Kahala Mall), one on Maui (at Whalers village), and one the Big Island (at the King Shops).

History

The company opened up it's first location at the Aloha Tower Marketplace on Oahu. Working out of a kiosk the appeal of the clothing being sold attracted the eyes of both tourists and locals. Soon afterwards in a year the company was able to move to an actual store location within the same area.
  • * NOTE: In a year (1996) this location was relocated to the present Ward Warehouse location in Honolulu

  • In comparison to their kiosk location, the owners of the store were able to create an environment that would fit into the concept of their clothing. Through the use of weathered wood armoire's and jewelry cases, rustic decorations, and a generous use of flowers scattered about the store when customers walk through the doors they enter into a place that is homely and cozy. While customers shop jazz music plays in the background completing the experience.

This setting that the company has created has seemingly become a recipe for success. Over the years since their first store opened in 1993 they have been able to open up six other locations.
