Claire Cooper (born 24 February 1979 in Wakefield, West Yorkshire) is an English actress who currently plays Jacqui McQueen in British Channel 4 series Hollyoaks. She has also appeared in other British television shows, including Waking the Dead in 2004 and Coronation Street & Waterloo Road in 2006.
As a child Cooper was a British Champion Gymnast for 10 years. [1]
In 2007, Cooper was nominated for the Best Actress award at the Inside Soap Awards.
Cooper attended GSA (Guildford School of Acting).
Cooper designed a charity Christmas card for the 2008 BBC Children in Need.[2]
Cooper is roommates with her on-screen brother James Sutton (John Paul McQueen).[3] She dated former co-star Kevin Sacre.[4] The Sunday Mirror reported on 19 July 2009 that Cooper was in a relationship with footballer, David James. However, Cooper denied the claims.[5]
