Bishop Clarence McClendon,Ph.D, is the senior
pastor of Full Harvest Church International and founder of Clarence
McClendon Ministries in Los Angeles, California.
Clarence E.
McClendon was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois and
began
preaching at age fifteen. He assumed his first pastorate at
age nineteen and today serves as the Senior Pastor of Church of the
Full Harvest International, a rapidly growing global, multicultural
congregation. Under the “umbrella” Clarence E.
McClendon
Ministries (C.E.M.M.), Inc., Dr. McClendon is Founder and President
of the Siloam Bible College and Clarence E. McClendon Leadership
Institute,dedicated to “Empowering 21 st Century Leaders of Today
With a Vision for
Tomorrow;” and The Full Harvest Network of
Church Ministries and Entrepreneurs. C.E.M.M. is an enterprise that
encompasses weekly national and international broadcasts and
international ministry crusades. Currently more than
160 million
homes have access to C.E.M.M. broadcasts through North America,
Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East. Bishop McClendon
also hosts Gathering Force Crusades – annual conferences held in
major cities across
America that draw in excess of 10,000 people
to each location throughout the year.Dr. McClendon serves on the
Bishop’s Council of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship in
charge of Fellowship Relations, and he has accepted a seat on
the
College of Bishops of the International Communion of
Charismatic Churches, both of which are interdenominational
fellowships where he continues to build a reputation as a force for
reconciliation and harmony across ethnic, denominational,
generational and geographic lines. He also serves as a board member
of the DoSomething Foundation, a thinktank of some of America’s top
young leaders, and as a California Regent for President Bush’s
Faith Based Initiative Faith Center. As a voice of authority
regarding some of society’s most pressing issues, he has
appeared
on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, Nightline on ABC and
Trinity Broadcasting Network, and Black Entertainment
Television.
McClendon is a author, he has penned The X Blessing
and And When You Pray: The Key to Accessing the Presence of God
with other book projects forthcoming. His musical accolades include
the Stellar Award nominated CD“Shout Hallelujah” which debuted on
the Billboard’s top ten listing for Gospel music on the Integrity
Gospel music label in 2001.
McClendon was once a rising star in
the Foursquare Gospel denomination before he divorced his wife
Tammera McClendon of 16 years. Seven days later, he married
Priscilla Delgado. The name of his church before he changed to Full
Harvest International was Church of the Harvest. His television
ministry, Take It By Force can be seen on stations such as Trinity
Broadcasting Network.
