Cleo is an upcoming 2011 rock musical film by Casey Silver Productions and Magnet Media Group. Steven Soderbergh has been announced as the director, and James Greer is set to write the screenplay. It is a musical retelling of the classic tale of Cleopatra, Mark Antony and Julius Caesar. He has chosen to use the 1920s as a contemporary background for this storyline, and has given it a rock-and-roll "Elvis-esque" themed soundtrack. The movie genre is described as a rock musical and a historical epic.

The film is currently in pre-production, the production dates currently being scheduled from 11 August 2009 to 8 July 2010. The film is going to use music composed by US indie band Guided By Voices [1]. Hugh Jackman was originally set to play Antony, though pulled out of the project in January 2009, due to disillusion at the reaction of the 2008 film Australia, as well as to host the 81st Annual Academy Awards in 2009.[2][3][4][5][6][7]
The plot is loosely based around the love triangle between Queen Cleopatra of Egypt, and her two lovers, Mark Antony and Julius Caesar. It is a song-and-dance retelling of the story of Cleopatra, Antony, and Caesar, set in the 1920s.
Due to the musical being in preproduction, only some of the cast and crew have been officially announced:
