Clifford Luyk Diem, (born in Syracuse, New York in June 28, 1941) is a former Spanish American basketball player.

Luyk was athletic, talented and possessed great low-post skills, highlighted by his trademark, old-school hook shot.

He joined Real Madrid in 1962 and acquired the Spanish citizenship three years later. Luyk retired in 1978, having won six Euroleague titles with Madrid's legendary club (1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1974 and 1978). This record makes him unique, because he is the only one who has won 6 Euroleague titles as a player with the same team. Clifford Luyk also won 14 Spanish championships, 10 Spanish cups and 2 Intercontinental cups.

Luyk won the silver medal in the 1973 European championship with the Spanish national team. He also played at Olympic Games 1968, Eurobasket 1969, Eurobasket 1971, Olympic Games 1972, Eurobasket 1973, FIBA World Championship 1974, Eurobasket 1975, Mediterranean Games 1975.

On February 3, 2008, he was chosen as one of the 50 most influential personalities to European Club Basketball over the last half-century by the Euroleague Basketball Experts Committee.[1]
