"Clip Joint" or "The Clip Joint" refers to the nationally recognized club basketball team located in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. For more than 7 years this club team has participated in local basketball leagues drawing fans from Virginia, Maryland and D.C. Boasting 1 championship and 3 other finals appearances along with 5 division titles this team has a proven winning tradition that cannot be challenged.

The franchise began competing in the year 2000 with a small roster of dedicated basketball players who were determined to make their mark on the local basketball scene. Early struggles posed many hurdles for the young organization but through pride, hardwork and sheer will the franchise built itself into a fixture of the local community. A growing fan base and merchandise sales have allowed management to pursue the best talent from across the country.

Management:
General Manager - Jason Waldman

Assistant General Manager - Jason Dejavichitlert

Head Advanced Scout - Blake Adams

Director of Player Personnel - Kobie Jones

Current Player Bios:

Ashish Khatta - Otherwise known by his street name Shazeezy, this one of kind Punjab three point sharpshooter molded his game on the courts of Stonegate. Shying away from contact, this big man rather shoot threes and stay on the perimeter than use his build to bang bodies down on the blocks. His future now clouded due to a strained relationship between his bully of an agent and upper management.

Blake Adams - Recruited from the rough and tumble streets of White Oak this former Blue Devil came to the Clip Joint after watching him demolish the competition at the Thursday night Olney camps. His trademark long hair flowing, he has become an instant fan favorite with the ladies who support the franchise. Known for his smooth transition game, Adams has brought energy and an uptempo mindset to the team from day one.

Dave Thomas - Affectionately known as "Butterscotch" by his teammates and fans alike, this hard nosed two guard has a knack for hitting the big shot when the game is on the line. Never was this more evident than when the DC 45's (arch rivals of the Clip Joint) faced off in the seasons final game several years ago. In overtime Thomas nailed a three pointer in the corner as time expired handing the Clip Joint their only win in franchise history over the 45's. His favorite move is to dribble through the legs of his defender, however to this day it has only been executed one time without turning the ball over.

Kobie Jones - One of two Jones' to wear the orange and black in team history this crafty veteran has been an intrical part of the bench mob. Whether you call him Kobe-Dog, or just Kobie, this original member does all the little things necessary to help the team win games. His surprisingly quick first step often times keeps opponents off balance allowing for some highlight reel finishes around the hoop.

Jason Waldman - Some people may refer to him as "coach" due to his preparation each week for the opposing team. Most of the time this pessimistic original member of the Clip Joint is focusing on signing the next big free agent. Another member of the heralded bench mob this lifelong founder of the franchise doesnt mind getting his hands dirty to make a big play. Never one to shy away from the controversial foul, he has been known to dish out some of the most brutal fouls in league history.

Jason Dejavichitlert - Sure, you might notice he doesn't exactly pride himself on defense. But question his heart and desire to win? This all around solid player showed his true colors during the playoff push a few years back when he took one for the team...literally. Late in the game against a higher seed, Deja took a punch right on the chin. While lying on the ground half conscious the first words out of his mouth were "did we win"? If that doesn't prove how fierce a competitor he is, nothing will.

George Kambanis - This stocky Greek guard isn't worried about whether his opponents underestimnate him or not, he just goes out and handles his business. Sure one might look at his titty top and pudgy frame as a sign of weakness but that is a huge mistake. The point guard and floor general knows how to win by locking down the opponent, dishing out one of his highlight reel assists or stepping back to knock down a three pointer. A ferocious bulldog of a competitor who brings 100% to every game, as George goes so goes the Clip Joint.

Aaron Heinrichs - One of the newer additions to the franchise, this Iowa bred superstar has had more major surgeries than Kenyon Martin and Nene' combined, but that has not slowed him down one bit. Able to take defenders off the dribble or dropping jump shots this athletic guard has been a huge lift to the uptempo style of the Clip Joint. Holds the team record for most points scored in a league game is only one of the proud accomplishments this superstar in the making boasts to his name.

Inactive Players:

Kamaal Jones - The other of the Jones' boys, brings hustle and an understanding of team play to the table every time out. Not the flashiest player on the team but always ready to contribute this big man made his mark during the championship run by providing timely rebounds and stifling defense. A lifetime member of the bench mob he hopes to one day return for one more season in the limelight.

Danny "TO Machine" - Flashy is the best word to describe this point guard who loves making the big play. His ability and pension for wowing crowds with his sleight of hand skills on the court made him the biggest free agent signing last season. Getting to the basket or making that extra pass this young gun never shies away fromt he spotlight. His return to glory is expected barring any setbacks in the D-league where he currently resides.

Jake Greenspan - Most people would admit he was the key to the teams success over the past couple of years. Blessed with size and the ability to score inside and out this mainstay brings something nobody else on the team can deliver. Unfortunately, management was unable to work out a deal to bring him back but the hope is to free up some money in the off-season to have him back in orange and black.

Former Players:

James Windle- The only player in team history to play just one season and win a championship ring, provided solid minutes off the bench during the run to glory.

Shawn Garrison - The oldest member to ever play and a defensive minded specialist who retired without winning a title

Ravi Vallarupalli - A big man who worked hard on offense, provided rebounding and block shots like no other center in team history

J.P. Flaim - One time coach turned into bitter rival was cut after two seasons due to conflicts with team philosophy

Drunk Mike - One season wonder who was most famous for eating an entire sub before tip-off

Andy Brizen - Ate his way off the team after vacationing in the Bahamas and adding 15 pounds to his already obese frame mid season

Fred - The only member to ever dunk in a regulation game was a two season enigma who just vanished after showing great promise in the middle

John - The original center for the Clip Joint was tall and thin with terrible hands, however tried hard anchoring the front court during the inaugural season.

Jerome - Better suited for track and field this super quick guard ran the show for several seasons

Jason Campbell - Brought in for his rugged inside game, had a hard time blending in with his teammates and was eventually cut because of it

Jason Lamery - Led the team in scoring for two seasons before getting cut for taking too many shots each week hoping to pad his individual stats

Lotto - Flashy pass first point guard played two seasons with the club before opting out of his contract
