The Clown Statue is a common urban legend about a babysitter and a killer. It could even be the cause of coulrophobia in some people. Not much is known, but it is still told on the Internet.

Story

It starts out with a babysitter and two children. After the kids go to sleep the babysitter calls the parents and asks if she could cover up a clown statue that was starring at her. The parents tell her to get the kids out of the house and they called the cops. It turned out that the Statue was a small man who killed several people. The cops got there and arrested the man. They then sent the man to the electric chair.

Other Versions

  • The clown is a man who is trying to kidnap the children.
  • The kids and babysitter are murdered (not told as common as the others).
  • The clown is in the living room.
  • The clown is caught, but he isn't sent to the chair.

  • One thing they all have in common is that the clown is always caught.

    =The Clown=

The clown is often described as a short man hiding in the house. He isn't alway's described as a short man, but he's not told as a tall man as common as a short man. He's been described to hold a knife, chainsaw, or sometimes a gun.

    Real life

Although Snopes dismisses the tale as an internet legend, it notes that a girl was injured in 1992 in Noblesville, Indiana, when a Ronald McDonald statue fell on her. She was awarded $41,400 in damages.<ref> </ref>
