Clowndog were a New
Zealand indie-punk band that formed in 1997 and broke up in
2003.
The bands first gig was played on the back of truck
outside the Recreation Centre in Motueka and their official last show was opening for
Trans Am at the Phat
Club in Nelson.
Over
that time the band released 5 EP's, numerous outtakes, appeared on
various compilations and gained a reputation as an entertaining and
somewhat bizzare live act; often including the throwing of
sausages into the
audience.
