NOT A CLUB

Description

Club 910 is the name given to the lovely ladies living in Thurston Hall 910 for the 2007-2008 collegiate school year, consisting of 6 women: Margaret Barone, Katherine Bruce, Zoe Calish, Alyssa Cherry, Angeliqué Israel, and Nidhi Srivastava, who took the George Washington University by storm. They are not an actual club, but an establishment. The name comes from the first night of the 2007-2008 year (September 1, 2007), when the girls began blasting their amazing stereo, drawing many to dance in the middle of the room, creating it's "club" status.

How it all began

The story of Club 910 began in the spring of 2007, when Katherine Bruce, after recieving her acceptance to the George Washington University, was browsing on Facebook for other accepted students. She found Angeliqué Israel, who she found to have a great deal in common with. After much conversation, the two decided to become roommates in the coming fall. Then summer rolled around. Katherine attended CI 1, where she met Nidhi Srivastava. The two instantly hit it off, and Katherine quickly contacted Angeliqué to ask if Nidhi could be added to the mix. Excitedly, Angeliqué agreed and the duo became a trio. Then, Angeliqué attended CI 4, where she met Erica Bibby, who, after a conversation with Katherine and Nidhi, was added to the room. Two had become four in a matter of weeks, and it didn't stop there. It soon came to the attention of the four roommates that the quads were very small, so they sought to add another roommate. "Who?" you ask. Cameron Bell. She quad had become a 'five', but there was trouble brewing. During Angeliqué's CI 4 experience, she met not only Erica and Cameron, but also Jameise Rozier. It seemed rude to include two of her new friends and not the other. So the idea came up to make the'five' a 'six' room. Uh-oh. Nidhi wasn't too comfortable with the idea of their small room becoming a crowd. She decided to withdraw from the room. Consequently, Katherine felt bad about Nidhi's departure from the room, and chose to leave as well. Saddened, Angeliqué knew that she had to come up with a solution. After much convincing, Nidhi came back to the room, though very hesitant about the situation. Then, the decision was made to split the 'six' room into two triple rooms. It wasn't what everyone wanted, but it made the most sense. So, the rooms consisted of Angeliqué, Nidhi, and Katherine and Erica, Cameron, and Jameise. Roommate assignments rolled around, and the two triples became a 'six' and a quad respectively. Three more were added to Thurston Hall Room 910--Margaret Barone, Zoe Calish, and another roommate (who switched out right away). Enter Alyssa Cherry. The last addition to Club 910, the room was finally complete. And on September 1, 2007, the six young ladies all met for the first time. The rest is history. The idea of 6 college-age women living together troubled the floor's house proctor, Kyle. He was, however, happy and relieved to learn that not only did the girls get along, but seemed to mesh very well together. Their honest way of dealing with issues proved to be perfect for the room.
