Encyclopedia

Championship Manager Online, more commonly known as CM-Online, is a multiplayer online football management game.

CM-Online is the second generation of the football game aptly named "Football Manager" which was launched in Sweden in conjunction with Aftonbladet as early as 2002. It currently has a following of about 10,000 fans and is renowned for high complexity and advanced level of play, something uncommon with modern day web-games. Even though there are other similar games around, such as Trophy Manager, Hattrick and Managerzone, CM-Online was the first web manager game launched in conjunction with a PC game, which means it was the first multi-platform soccer manager game produced.

The game is a spin-off on the popular Championship Manager series. It is developed by Jadestone and published by Eidos. It is currently available in English, Danish and Swedish.

Key features of the game

- Take the role of the general manager at a club; - Buy and sell players from other managers; - Teams and players are same as in real life (i.e. Milan, Real Madrid / Kaka, Ronaldinho); - Train your players; - Set your tactics for the upcoming games; - Watch the games being played out.
