Codonopsis is a genus of flowering plant within the family Campanulaceae. It is allied to Campanumoea and Leptocodon, and some authors suggest that Codonopsis should include these genera. Without them, Codonopsis includes 55 species endemic to East Asia.

In the horticultural trade, Codonopsis species are referred to as bonnet bellflowers.
C. pilosula (Chinese: 党参; pinyin: dǎngshēn) is an important medicinal herb in traditional Chinese medicine.
C. lanceolata (Korean: deodeok) is used as a food in Korean cuisine.
