CODY SUX MY FUCKIN COCK!
Lopez's Life
Lopez had enrolled this year at Carver High School. He had
previously attended South Stokes High School.
Kay Landry, a guidance counselor at the school, said that Lopez was
enrolled in honors courses and seemed very focused and determined.
"He was very mature for his age. That's what I remember about him,"
Landry said. "He was an honest kid."
At Carver High, some students came to the guidance counselor's
office on November 17th and said they were upset by the death. But
because Lopez was a new student this year, he was not well-known
throughout the school.
Lopez's mother, Karen Cline, said on November 18th that it was a
senseless killing. "He was a kid, a 17-year-old kid, my boy," Cline
said. She also noted that he was an honors student who had made the
honor roll four times last year.
He was trying to keep up his good grades this year when he
transferred from South Stokes High School to Carver High School to
live with his father in Walkertown. But Lopez was unhappy at the
larger school for a lot of different reasons, mostly because he
missed the friends he had made at South Stokes. In the last few
weeks, Lopez had stopped attending classes at Carver in an attempt
to move back in with his mother in Walnut Cove. He was hoping to
enroll at South Stokes.
Earlier this week, Lopez, who loved to hike and be outdoors, had
gone to Pilot Mountain with Wicker.
Although he hadn't played football or baseball this year, he is
well-known for playing those sports. Lopez had once played on the
South Stokes football team. And until these past few years, he had
played Little League baseball. "He had played since he was in
T-ball," Cline said. "Every one of his coaches was here last
night.... He was sweet to everybody. He was polite, well-mannered.
Everybody in the whole community loved Chris. His friends are
devastated. I just don't know what to make of it."
The Killer & Another Story
A man, 51, turned himself in later on November 17th for the killing
of Chris Lopez. As of now, he has yet to be charged or his name
released. He is not in custody. The killing is said to have been in
self-defense. He was on his way to work third shift at his job when
the car Lopez was in passed him on Brook Cove Road and somebody
inside threw a 20-ounce plastic soda bottle at his car, bouncing
off his windshield. The man said he flashed his lights at Lopez and
that both cars pulled over. He said he rolled down his window and
that Lopez tried to assault him through the opening.
After
a group of teens started punching him, the man said he
used a pocket knife to defend himself and eventually stabbed Lopez.
He said he fled the scene as Lopez and his girlfriend got back in
their car. The information has been given to District Attorney
Ricky Bowman, who said the investigation is continuing. He said he
won't consider charges until the week of November 21st, at the
earliest.
The Conspiracy
There are some inconsistencies and questions surrounding the common
story of Chris Lopez's death:
- One story identifies Lopez as being 18, when in fact he was
17.
- At least one news source says Chris was stabbed multiple
times, many others say simply "stabbed". There is also a
rumor about him being stabbed in the stomach, but this has not been
confirmed and is simply a rumor.
- Some report him as dying on the scene, others at the
hospital. In fact, he died before arriving at the hospital
and was PRONOUNCED dead at the hospital.
- It's been said that Chris himself was driving the vehicle,
not the girl. Kayla was in fact driving.
- It has yet to be revealed whether or not drugs and/or
alcohol were involved in the event, but it would explain some of
the rash decisions.
- What reason did the 51-year-old man have for stabbing
Chris, if it was only over a "traffic incident"? Something
more than a simple argument had to have occurred. Sure, he
was passed and then had a soda bottle thrown at his car, and Chris
confronted him by crawling through his car window, but it seems to
be very harsh of a reaction. If it was honestly
self-defense, it was taken too far. He could have simply
driven his car from the scene.
- There is also SPECULATION that the man who turned himself
in is covering up for a much younger person who actually stabbed
Chris. This theory has yet to develop into any truth, but
was said to be suspected by investigators.
- The killer, in one statement, said it was a group of teens
that attacked him, not just Chris. Who were the others, if
Kayla and Michael supposedly never left the car?
