Cold Summer of 1953 is a post-rock band from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
Band was formed in 2006 as a trio: D. Pyanov - guitar, vox; I. Kostin - bass, S. Kudryashov - drums,
later joined P. Kultin as a multi-instrumentalist. For the first time band was under great
influence of groups such as Joy Division, Death From Above 1979, Interpol, BRMC
and other bands, mostly post-punk. With time guys got some math-rock, tech-metal,
math-core and rave influences. And now Cold Summer of 1953 has a tendency to call
themselfes as art-rave.
