Colditz (2005) is a British two-part television film produced by Granada Television for ITV, and directed by Stuart Orme. It was said to be based on Henry Chancellor's book Colditz: The Definitive History[1] but not claimed to be historically accurate.[2]
This is the story of a British prisoner of war in World War II who escapes to Britain, where he works for the secret service and falls in love with the girlfriend of another prisoner who failed to escape and was transferred to the prisoner-of-war camp at Colditz.
Colditz has been released on DVD as Escape from Colditz,[3] and as Colditz: WWII.[4]
