CKTutors.com is the current website of College Knowledge.

College Knowledge was started by Orion A. King and Rafael A. Corrales to provide a top quality tutoring experience in Atlanta but at an affordable price, oftentimes more than 40% cheaper than the average hourly tutoring rates in Atlanta. Mr. King, an alum of Woodward Academy, is on track to graduate with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics; Mr. Corrales, an alum of The Galloway School, graduated Highest Honors at the age of 20 from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in International Affairs and Spanish, and a Concentration in Finance. Both have extensive tutoring, training, and work experience, summarized succintly on College Knowledge's website.

The goal of College Knowledge is to offer a better tutoring experience than their competitors, but at a lower price. College Knowledge created an online scheduling application and database located at cktutors.comto leverage the power of the web to schedule all tutoring sessions online, eliminating a lot of the overhead costs that add into the rates of their competitors. Students and their parents find tutors through the online scheduling application and reserve a time slot for a specific tutor. Confirmation emails are sent and then the tutoring session takes place.

College Knowledge strongly believes that college students make ideal tutors for kids in high school and middle school. College students are closer in age than the older tutors of their competitors and college students are often still fresh on the material, making them more capable of relating to the students. At the same time, highly qualified college students are still much more experienced than the high school students, giving them the ability to relate and pass on useful knowledge.

College Knowledge aims to do more than teach just the basic skills to do well in classes. By hiring motivated, successful tutors, they provide mentors capable of teaching life skills, leadership, organization, study habits, and any other important qualities that are often not taught directly to students. College Knowledge's mentors will be able to help students through the college admissions process, having just been through it. The important thing is College Knowledge wants to help students be successful in more than just their classes.

After each session, parents are encouraged to log back in to the system to enter tutor ratings. These ratings include a few basic fields, such as knowledge of the subject material, ability to relate, politeness, timeliness – the parent rates tutors on a 5 star scale, and over time a tutor’s average rating shows up to parents within our system. This encourages the best possible performance from tutors every single session, providing the accountability other tutoring services cannot offer.
Tutors set forth a schedule of goals that they work out with each new student, and each following session builds upon that set of goals and acts as an effective way to measure progress. This brief schedule of goals is uploaded to their website so that any tutor helping out the student will be able to reference the schedule of goals. This is an effective tool in showing the student, the parent, and the tutor what the student has learned through their College Knowledge experience.
