Colors of a Madman is a band of three thirteen-year-olds from Las Vegas, Nevada. They have been around for about three years and have had different members including lead guitarists and drummers. They now consist of Zakary Fisher(Guitar/Vocals), Dylan Bumgardner(Bass Guitar), and Eddie Yervinyan(Drums). They are a mix of Alternative rock, Punk rock, and Indie rock.

History

Early Life

The band started off with Zak Fisher and Dylan Bumgardner. They had met each other in fourth grade and have been friends ever since. In fifth grade Zak Fisher got his first guitar. It was a "Strat Pack" that came with a black Fender Squier and an amp. After that Dylan Bumgarder did the same but bought one with a blue Fender P-Bass and a bass amp. Eventually, the two started playing together, and eventually came up with the name Colors of a Madman.

Start of Career

After a couple of months of Zak and Dylan playing together, they eventually realized that they needed a drummer. The great "Drummer Hunt" had begun. It started off with just friends who played drums. They would go to the friend's house and jam together. If they didn't like the drummer, they would say so, and move on. Eventually, they found their breakthrough drummer, Masen Spencer. He had been recommended by a close friend as a good drummer. He was the perfect drummer and they played together, wrote songs, and even played two gigs together. Things were finally picking up for the band.

After a couple of productive months, Masen quit the band. It is not exactly clear why he left. Some reasons included he wanted to join his closer friend's band, or perhaps he had some other academic problems. After this happened, Zak and Dylan became very depressed and wanted to give up on the band itself. They started a search for a new drummer, but could not find anyone right for them.

While this prolonged dark shroud of drummer searching continued, a beam of light broke through the darkness. It's name was Eddie Yervinyan. What's ironic about the fact that he's their drummer, was that he was included in the first search for a drummer. Back then, he had no experience with a drum set but could keep a steady beat. Several months later and voilà, he was a full fledged drummer. He also has a musical influence from his dad, famous Violin player Samvel Yervinyan.

Current Whereabouts

The most recent show they have played has been at FADE, a venue that opens up at a church. They will also hopefully record a three song demo cd this upcoming summer of 2008.
