The Community Oncology Alliance (COA) is a non-profit organization in the United States that advocates for cancer patients and their providers in the community oncology setting, where 84 percent of Americans with cancer are treated. The group was founded in 2003, and works to motivate oncology practices to become politically active, and to increase awareness on Capitol Hill about the community cancer care delivery system. The group also works to bring together community oncology practices from across the country to help enhance their effectiveness and efficiency, and lobbies in the United States Congress to protect the viability of the national cancer care delivery system and patients access to quality, affordable cancer care.
