Constitutional Conservatism is the belief in free enterprise, limited government, and traditional conservative principles within constitutional boundaries. Essentially, constitutional conservatives believe that the ideas and intent of the framers, who formed the constitution, should be applied to government for all time, and seek to restore or maintain a constitutional size of government.

In the United States of America, constitutional conservatives believe in the size and scope of the government as envisioned and originally intended by the Founding Fathers. Typically they are pro-life, pro-religious freedom, pro-fair trade, pro-gun rights, and are almost universally strong supporters of private property rights, and support a limited federal government, less regulation of the economy, and support nationalism.
