Contactmusic.com is a Leeds UK based entertainment magazine/webzine. The site was launched in April 2000 by a small team and has now expanded to 12 fulltime staff and many freelance contributors from across the globe. The site covers a variety of music genres and film, features news, interviews, reviews, competitions, computer games and a ticket section. Recently World Entertainment Network (WENN) made a settlement in court with Yusuf Islam the singer formally known as Cat Stevens over a story published on Contactmusic.com in 2007 regarding Islam's reluctance to talk to non-veiled women.

The site has become more renowned since Jay Leno quoted them in one of his recent monologues (08/08/08)

Contactmusic.com is 100% privately owned and current directors include - Dom Harrison C.E.O., Antony Johnson Commercial Director, Nik Keene Director/editor and Barry Smith FCA Financial Director.

Partners

In 2005 Contactmusic signed a UK partnership deal with Lycos Europe which lasted until 2007 when a new agreement was formed with UK tv company Channel 4.
