The Correllian Nativist Church is a Wiccan tradition. It has split off from the Correllian Nativist Tradition in Illinois and is an international church, headquartered in Albany, New York, though much of its international presence has dwindled after the division.

History

The original basis for its teachings came from the High-Correll family who claim roots in both Cherokee spiritual customs and Scottish Traditional Witchcraft. The real surge in membership came in the 1990s as the teachings were made available through the Internet.

Organization

Administration and operation of the Church and its subordinate organizations is governed by the Board of Directors in accordance with established policy and application law; the church is a 501 organization.

In addition to the Board of Directors, there is the First Priesthood, Council of Elders, and the Witan Council.

The First Priest and First Priestess have charge of and supervision over the religious and spiritual affairs of the Church. They are jointly responsible for: maintaining the "sanctity" of the Correllian Nativist Church, for making Church policy recommendations to the Board of Directors and enforcing established policy, for overseeing the religious programs and services of the Church, and for officiating Church-wide rituals and ceremonies.

The Council of Elders is an advisory body comprised of senior members of the Clergy and others appointed for their knowledge and experience to advise the Church's Board of Directors and First Priesthood on matters of Church policy and administration.

The Witan Council is an advisory body that assists and supports the Board of Directors, First Priesthood, and other Church bodies. The Witan Council provides advice, assistance, and opinions to the Board of Directors and may at times hold live meetings or be asked to vote on programs and initiatives of importance to the Church.

Membership

Today, the Correllians have Shrines and Temples in countries around the world including the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Denmark, Sweden, Uruguay, Mexico, Belgium, Argentina, and Spain, along with individual members in these and many other places, such as Peru, Brazil, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Correllian Wicca is studied at its various Shrines and Temples, and at the New Aeon College and Seminary.

Witch School for sale==
On 10 April, 2007, the Witch School, which teaches Correllian Wicca, was put up for auction on eBay. Within a few days, the auction was cancelled.

As of 18 April, 2007, a release on the Correllian Clergy Yahoo Group reports that WitchSchool will be sold to a friendly Wiccan consortium (identities not revealed in the release) who are keeping the school under the leadership of M. Rev. Donald Lewis-Highcorrell, First Priest and Chancellor of the Correllian Nativist Tradition. WitchSchool presently is unaffiliated with the Correllian Nativist Church, International.
