From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Country Comfort" is the third song on British pop-rock performer Elton John's 1970 album, Tumbleweed Connection. It is about John and his lyricist, Bernie Taupin's love for the countryside. John re-released the song in 2001 as part of the Earl Scruggs and Friends album released by Earl Scruggs. Earl Scruggs played banjo on the song.

There have been numerous cover versions of this song. Rod Stewart gave it his characteristic early-solo-Stewart treatment on his album Gasoline Alley. Kate Taylor, Juice Newton, John Anderson and Keith Urban (on his Be Here album), amongst others, recorded cover versions on various albums. [1]
