Country Strong (formerly titled Love Don't Let Me Down) is an upcoming drama film about a country singer named Kelly Canter. It stars Gwyneth Paltrow as Kelly Canter and Garrett Hedlund as Beau Williams and is directed by American filmmaker, Shana Feste. It is set for release on December 22, 2010.

Plot

A rising young singer-songwriter (Hedlund) gets involved with fallen country music star (Paltrow) and the pair embark on a tour to resurrect her career, helmed by her husband/manager (McGraw) who accompanies them along with a beauty-queen-turned-singer (Meester). Complications arising from romantic entanglements and old demons threatens to derail them all.

The film was filmed in Nashville, Tennessee.[1] With a budget of $15 million, pre-production work on the project began in November 2009.[1] The movie was shot in 2010 from early January to the first week of March.[1] It is stated for a December 22, 2010 release.[2]

Music

Country artist Sara Evans' single, titled "A Little Bit Stronger," will be featured on the movie's soundtrack.[3] "A Little Bit Stronger" was released in September 2010, and will also serve as a single for her upcoming sixth studio album. The movie's title track, which was recorded by Gwyneth Paltrow, was also released as a single to country radio on August 23, 2010. Both singles are being promoted by RCA Nashville.
