Courtney Hansen (born Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1978) is a television host/personality, syndicated columnist, author and former model.

Courtney is the daughter of Jerry Hansen, once owner of the Brainerd International Raceway[1] and winner of 27 SCCA national racing championships. [2] She grew up in Orono, Minnesota and spent lots of time around the pits & garages at racing tracks. As a result, she is an automobile enthusiast, and much of her work to date has revolved around automobiles [3].

After graduating with a degree in Marketing from Florida State University, she undertook a corporate job in Marketing. After leaving corporate work, Courtney hosted the Jack Nicklaus pilot Killer Golf and segments on the Travel Channel, worked as a fashion and fitness model, and was on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine & Muscle & Fitness Hers among others. [4] She was named one of FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World 2005."

Courtney currently hosts Spike TV's Powerblock, which is composed of 4 half-hour automotive shows. She also hosted a recent special for Spike TV called "Great Builds." She is the host of Fox Sports Net's travel adventure show "Destination Wild". The show received a Telly award for best travel & recreation show on cable. In the past she was the host for TLC's automotive-themed shows Overhaulin', Rides and Million Dollar Motors[5]. Courtney has been a spokesmodel for Matco Tools, Dodge[6] and Rolls-Royce[7]. Her participation in Overhaulin was purely superficial; she helped out with the disassembly and assembly of cars for the show but was planned out camera segments by the producers.[8].

Additionally, she wrote a column for FHM magazine, currently writes a nationally syndicated automotive column titled "Courtney Hansen: Full Throttle", and is the published author of The Garage Girl's Guide To Everything You Need To Know About Your Car, a book offering women & first time car buyers advice on how to care for their cars.
