<!-- End of AfD message,
feel free to edit beyond this point --> 'Creature World
is a virtual
pet site.The pets
are mostly taken from the real world, with the exception of the
Furetto, a parody of the ferret.
Creature World was started in
2001 by John Miller, and contains several games, including a Battle
Arena, where users can battle computer controlled opponents or
other users using their pets and up to 10 weapons that can be
attached to their pets. The site also has various social areas
including the forums, clubs, and a mail system
(iMail).Due to the
religion of the creator, the site has heavy Christian
leanings.
Creature World currently has over 10,000 members, with
around 2,000 having been active recently.
Currency
The
currency used in
Creature World is iPoints.Alternative methods of payments include Coins
which are used in Laketown for Workshop items and most clubs have
their own currency for internal use.
World
The world which
Creature World is based in consists of 6 areas, which can be
accessed via the Explore function.
Downtown
Downtown is the area with
the most features.There
is an Employment Agency in which pets can get
jobs depending on availability and intelligence, and earn
iPoints.A Doctor's
Office is there to heal your pets if they catch a disease such as
Athlete's
Foot or the Common Cold for 500 iP in addition to healing
lost Health Points in the Battle Arena.Free Food is another place for just that, which
can only be used once a day if you are low on iPoints; more often
if you have less than 5,000 iP.The Pawn Shop is for you to sell certain items for
below the average price and is a way to earn iP if you are
desperate.Lastly, the
Hotel provides your pet with
services depending on how many nights you stay and what room you
rent; feeding your pet, playing with your pet and healing your
pet.There are 5
different rooms you can rent, ranging from the Barn to the
Presidential Suite.
Forest
In the forest is the Free
Shop, the Gym and Santa. The Free Shop contains items put in by other
members of Creature World, and such acts are usually posted on the
forums. The Gym can train your pet for a certain amount
of money, but there are certain items that can be used in the
Gym.The Gym also offers
a snack bar if you give a Gym Pass, where you can buy healthy foods
such as apples and
celery.Santa is a quest which you can do 5 times a
day.
Country
The country houses The Laboratory, The
School, the Adoption Agency as well as the Gallery of
Items.The Adoption
Agency is where you can adopt a pet previously owned by another
person.The Gallery of
Items is a compilation of pages with pictures of all the items
below a certain rarity.
The Laboratory is a seperate place of its
own, holding a Pet Machine, the Item Zapper and the Lab
Shop.The Pet Machine
can change each of your pets once a day either in a positive or
negative way.The Item
Zapper can combine two different items in your Inventory to a
single different item. The Lab Shop sells lab items and is the only
shop that does not tell you when it last
restocked.
Desert
In the desert is The Collector, the
Millionaire's Shop and the Pop Machine. The Collector is a quest which you can do 5
times a day to progress in levels.Failure of a level will result in you going
back down to level one.The last level is 75 in which you are rewarded
a Collector Cube.The
Millionaire's Shop is a non-restocking shop in which you can buy
expensive weaponry.The
Pop Machine is where you can buy drinks for a cheap price but only
once every minute.
New Zealand
In New Zealand, there are
three shops: NZ Food, NZ Toys & Trinkets and NZ
Weaponry.In addition to
this, there are The Ferries and The Farmer. The Ferries is a game where you pay iP to say
how much cargo should go on The Ferries, and if you manage to keep
it afloat with a good amount of cargo, you win back some
iP.The Farmer is a
quest in which he asks you for a single Junkyard
Scrap.
Laketown
In Laketown, there is the Coin Machine,
the Old Fisherman and The Workshop. The Old Fisherman is a quest in which you are
rewarded with a Coin and some iP.This then can be used in The Workshop to buy
Workshop items when they are released or on the Coin Machine for
random outcomes.
