Biography
Cristobal was born in Brazil in Feb 16, 1980 into a povern strickin village of San Nita.
Cristobal Ortiz learned to play baseball from his father who was on the Brazilian oylmpics baseball team.
Cristobal played babseball to escape poverty and get a new lease on life.
Cristobal became pretty good and at the age of 17 was drafted by the Padres in the 8th round in the 1998 MLB draft.
After a series of trades Cristobal has played for 12 different teams.
Cristobal is currently a AA minor league Center Fielder for the Devil Rays.
