From its beginning this international trio comprised of Andrey Kiritchenko, Jonas Lindgren and Jeff Surak. Now it has Dmytro Fedorenko (Kotra) together with Surak and Kiritchenko. Critikal is a mixture of drones, musique concrete like textures with elements of acoustic improvisation.

Another group called Critikal is up and coming from a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Brampton). This other Critikal is a hip-hop group. Their first mixtape called Critikal Condition is said to be released in the later half of 2007. This Critikal is runned by a parent company called "TrickyCity Productions" started by a member of the group. Critikal has 5 members so far with plans of expanding to more "hoods" in and around Toronto.

This group is currently involved in a ongoing feud with fellow Brampton emcees, Mobb Recordz. The history of this feud began when former Critikal member Knuckles left the group to succeed on his own and be the leader of his own group. Knuckles is now involved in his own group called, Da Mobb. Members of Da Mobb include Tha Lil Baby G, Chain Link & Knucklez. Tha Lil Baby G claims to beat everyone he has ever freestyled which is false, he had recently battled Dice and most people who witnessed the battle say that Dice was the victor. Da Mobb hasn't made any significant roster changes.
