Coordinates: 53°14′38″N 2°52′41″W / 53.244°N 2.878°W / 53.244; -2.878 Croughton is a hamlet and civil parish on the outskirts of the city of Chester, and part of the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county Cheshire. The Shropshire Union canal runs through Croughton. The name "Croughton" means in the bend in the water. Croughton can be found in the Domesday Book.
