Crown Wine Cellars

Crown Wine Cellars is the most advanced facility of its kind in Asia, dedicated to the meticulous handling, storage, long-term maturation and ultimate enjoyment of wine. Located in Shouson Hill, an exclusive suburb on Hong Kong Island, CWC boasts 6 underground cellars, and a private members clubhouse comprised of 2 underground bunkers and a newly constructed conservatory. The entire site is nestled in a beautiful park-like setting.


The original structures were constructed almost 70 years ago by the British Military to serve as an ammunition and weapons storage depot in preparation for World War II. The site was originally known as the Central Ordinance (Munitions) Depot, and included 24 underground Bunkers, of which only 8 remain.

Owing to their intended purpose, the Bunkers are located approximately 20 meters below ground with 2-meter thick concrete walls. Despite these excellent natural cellar attributes, Crown has gone one step further by introducing state-of-the-art computer-controlled equipment to provide the ultimate cellar environment.

"We store your wine in a perfect replica of the cellar in which it matured for the first critical years after bottling nothing more and nothing less."

In order to assist the serious collection and future trade of wine, bonded as well as duty paid facilities are available. Wine may therefore be cellared for as long as required and then re-exported without paying duty.


For those persons who simply love to drink wine, members may request that their wine be made available in the Clubhouse, to be enjoyed on-site at no additional cost. Moreover, catering options are available that, in combination with the member's own wine, provides an extremely cost efficient personal and professional entertainment venue. Naturally, home and restaurant deliveries are also available.
