Curb stomping, also known as "curbing", "headstomping", "biting the curb", being given a "smiley" or the "Russian mouthwash", describes an act of violent execution in which the victim's head, or rather mouth, is positioned against a curb (as if he were biting it) and applying a large amount of force to the back of the head or neck by the quick stomp of a steel-toe boot. When applied to the base of the neck, the result is a broken neck. When applied to the crown of the skull, the force is directed toward the jaw, separating it from the skull.

Curbing is often associated with skinheads. It may also occur during a "boot party", a term describing a group of skinheads who gang-up on a victim and kick or stomp them with their boots, with the intent of severe injury or death.

Such an act was depicted in the 1998 movie, American History X, which features Derek, one of the film's protagonists, murdering a man who had been in the process of stealing Derek's car by curb stomping him.

Curb stomping is also depicted in the Xbox 360 video game Gears of War as a special finishing move. While this version does not require a curb to perform, it is still lethal, likely due to the protagonist's heavy armored boots.

Due to the violence associated with curb stomping, professional wrestler Super Dragon innovated a finishing move that is similar in performance to actual curb stomping, dubbing it simply as the Curb Stomp. Since its creation, the move has become highly popular due to it being simple to perform, yet devastating in appearance.

'Sandy B.' is an infamous serial killer, known for having curbstomped several gypsy children to death in Rome when those gypsy children begged for money. 'Sandy B.' also had a baby thrown at her, a common gypsy technique to make people drop their things to catch the baby, making stealing easier; however, she did NOT catch the baby, claiming she 'thought it was a fake.'
