Curse of Darkness (SD12) is the 12th and latest structure deck of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. It was released exclusively in Japan in March 2007. As the name implies, the deck focuses on the Dark Attribute and Fiend & Zombie Types, as well as their combos with the three Virus Cards. There are eight brand new cards in this structure deck, including the Ultra Rare (Diabolos, King of the Abyss) card.

TCG Release

In a recent interview with ICv2 see here, Leighton Kurishama of Upper Deck Entertainment stated that there were no plans to release SD12 in the TCG in 2007.

Nevertheless, the eight new cards from the deck were released in Force of the Breaker as Secret Rares. However, the four OCG reprint cards that were new to the TCG were not released in Structure Deck form. Nonetheless, Shield Crush is available in Premium Pack 1 (PP01), Crush Card Virus is the current Shonen Jump Championship Prize card, and Goblin Zombie and Axe Dragonewt remain unreleased in the TCG.

This card can only be Ritual Summoned by the effect of "The Legend of Heart" . Once per turn , by discarding 1 Spell or Trap Card on your side of the field to your graveyard , you may remove 1 card on the field from play . If you activate this effect, this card cannot attack during this turn . Spell , Trap and Monster Card effects are not activated in response to this effect's activation . As long as this card remains on the field, you can draw twice during your Draw Phase .

The Fang of Critias (New) ATK : X000/DEF : X000 - LIGHT/Divine-Dragon/Effect - LV 10

This card can only be Ritual Summoned by the effect of "The Legend of Heart" . The ATK and DEF of this card are equal to the total number of cards on the field x 1000 . If this card destroyed your opponent's monster as a result of battle , it can attack again once in a row. If this card successfully attacks your opponent's Life Points directly , add 1 Spell Counter to this face-up card (max. 4). During your Main Phase, you may remove 4 Spell Counters from this face-up card to Special Summon 1 monster from either player´s graveyard to your side of the field .

The Claw Of Hermos (New) ATK : ?/DEF : ? - LIGHT/Divine-Dragon/Effect - LV 10

This card can only be Ritual Summoned by the effect of "The Legend of Heart" . This card´s ATK and DEF are equal to the total ATK and DEF of all monsters that were removed from play to summon it . Select 1 monster (excluding this monster) on the field and remove face-down from play . When another monster that belongs to the owner of the removed monster is destroyed , the removed monster is Special Summoned to the owner's side of the field , ignoring the Summoning conditions and increase its ATK by 1000 points .

This card is used to Ritual Summon "The Eye of Timaeus" , "The Fang of Critias" and "The Claw of Hermos" . You must also remove from play monsters , whose total Level Stars equal 10 or more from the field , your hand or your graveyard . Every turn , you must remove 1 card in your graveyard from play , in order to keep this card on the field . If you don´t , this card is destroyed and both players gain 1000 LP
