CB's Playhouse
His recently cancelled
show, "CB's Playhouse", which aired on Columbus, Ohio's
WTVN, ran on Saturdays and
Sundays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.. The show was regularly sidelined
during football season due to
WTVN's coverage of
Ohio State University football
and
Cincinnati Bengals football.
Curt's
final radio show on WTVN was broadcast on December 17th,
2005.
On January 3rd, 2006, while on vacation, Curt was
contacted by the station. He was told that his show was to be cut
down to Saturdays-only and moved to an unfavorable time slot that
ran from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.. Curt refused and was dismissed at that
time by the station's program director (also known to Curt's fans
as DWE). This decision was made as part of several programming
changes at the station and followed the dismissal of fellow on-air
personality, Steve "Boom Boom" Cannon.
