Cyber-Wars is a popular
browser MMORPG written in
PHP.
It is owned by Lyn Davies (known as "LynJay"), who
administrates it along with other administrators ("admins").
There are also a number of staff members who help with regulating the game.
The game blurb: Welcome to the best free online game...
The year is 2020.
All
civilization has gone under.
There is now a raging war between the
Net Guards and
Hackers, good and evil.
It's up to you to take a side, and fight for what you think is right.
Riches, fame, and power await you...
Can you handle it?
Cyber-Wars is based upon three recharging
statistics ("stats"), which are "energy", "capacity", and "intent", used to improve the non-recharging stats.
As well as this, you can earn
websites,
RAM blocks and join gangs to battle each other in WARS.
You can train your
hacking or IQ, to take different paths to greatness.

[223]Quick Start Guide:
You receive 5 energy every 10 minutes for normal members.
5 energy per 5 minutes for
Donators.
You can use your energy by either earning money (
Cyber Dollars, or Websites), Batteling, or training.
You find websites in the GRID.
The main goal is to be the strongest player.
You can train your
stats to win in
battles, and buy
weapons (or even create them) to be stronger than your opponent.
Gangs are there for protection, as well as hospital coverage, and much more.
Gangs fight against eachother for
territory in the city, as well as single fights between the gangs.
A new unfinished version of the game called thecyberwar is also open for play, the gaming community is smaller and therefore it is easier to gain strength, however it still has the same problems as cyber-wars in multis and bugs.
Due to the nature of Cyber-Wars, which is that older players are always much stronger, many players wish to cheat, and create "multis", or multiple accounts, in order to become more powerful in the game.
The administrators have insituted a jail system to cut down on cheating and other
Terms of Service violations, which simply consists of making a player unable to login to the jailed account for the sentence given.
However, multis still are a consistent problem, due to the fact that multi-makers will simply create more accounts.
Players who do so will receive an
IP jailing, which blocks that IP from playing.
Many players have become annoyed with multi-makers, as well as "
n00bs" who ask questions that are considered stupid in the
chat, as most of them could be answered by reading the
tutorial.
