Cypripedium pubescens is a species of Lady's Slipper. It is commonly known as American valerian, Greater yellow lady's slipper, Large yellow lady's slipper, Moccasin Flower, Nerveroot, Noah's ark, Whippoorwills-shoe, Yellow ladies'-slipper, Yellow moccasin-flower, Yellow Indian Shoe, and is one of several orchids referred to as "Yellow Lady's Slipper Orchid". It is native to Illinois and surrounding states in the American Midwest, and it is used as a medicinal plant.

The plant grows anywhere from 12 to 30 inches tall and has smooth, slipper-shaped yellow flowers.
