Parliamentary elections were held in Czechoslovakia on May 26, 1946. They were the last elections in Czechoslovakia, before Communists took power in 1948. The result of this election enabled them to a great extent to do so.

Voting age was lowered to 18 years. Suffrage was granted only for citizens with Czech, Slovak or other Slav nationality (not for Czechoslovak citizens with German or Hungarian nationality). Only six political parties of National front were allowed (additional two were allowed a few months before elections). Voting was compulsory.

Voters could cast a blank ballot to abstain.

The results were different in Czech lands, where the Communists won, as compared to Slovakia, where the Democratic Party (the anti-Communists) won.
