The Ambition is the third album from
Detroit rap group
D12. D12's
Bizarre stated in an
interview
[842] that the new album should be released
sometime between March and May of 2007.
Kon Artis of D12,
said the Detroit rap group will put out another album, despite
losing the man who brought them together in the first place. Minus
one group member (Proof), D12 is moving forward with yet another
album. Kon Artis, says the now five member outfit, which includes
Eminem, are currently working on a new album. The paper reports
that the particulars are still being worked out for the D12 album,
but the group says they will not commence recording until group
member
Swift, who is
currently serving jail time for a probation violation relating to a
previous impaired driving incident, is released.
The album has no title as of yet,
Mr. Porter will be executive producing the
album.
[843] Other producers include
Eminem,
Dr. Dre,
Swizz Beats and others. D12's Kuniva recently
said the album will be darker than D12 World, and will be more
similar to Devil's Night. The members of D12 believe that Proof
would want them to move on and so they are moving on, but believe
that they are without a doubt remembering Proof every step of the
way. On TRL the group announced that the whole CD will be a
dedication to Big Proof. Bizarre was quoted
[844] for saying that he feels the new album is
a bit more up-tempo and energetic; suggesting that, while the album
is dedicated to Proof, the songs will not be overly
emotional.
Most of the songs will include Proof, and the songs that do not
will not replace him with a guest. Eminem has said that D12 will
not replace him. Denaun said that D12 has recorded a song called
'Holding Our Own' and Proof is on that song. However, it is unknown
if the song will make the final cut for the album. Rumored guests
include
50 Cent,
Obie Trice,
Trick Trick,
T.I.,
Nate Dogg, and
Three 6 Mafia.
