D2jsp is a bot written by Dg-epsilon for Blizzard's game Diablo II. D2jsp stands for: "Diablo 2 Java Script Parser"

D2jsp.org[478] remains today as a community for a variety of different games, including Hellgate: London, World of Warcraft, Runescape and many more. D2jsp has an integrated forum trade currency named Forum Gold (abbreviated FG). Any registered user automatically gains the right to recieve and send Forum Gold combined with trades within the various games at d2jsp.

Users decide on a trade spot, and then choose who is to "give first". Meaning that one user must either send the Forum D-Gold via d2jsp.org first, or give the items for trade in the game first - to then recieve the other part. It is an insecure way of trading, but the forums moderators are extremely active and efficient in banning any users accused and proved of scamming. So called "Mediators" can be used to help with the trades, they are a type of moderators. Basically, each of the users involved in the trade will give/send the items/forum gold to this mediator, and he/she will forward it to both users in order to insure a secure and efficient trade.

The trade system is notable as one of the most original and unique ways of combining forums with a variety of games.

The bot itself is no longer downloadable, and has been given up work on. Therefor the site does not in any way support a bot anymore, it is in fact a trading community for Diablo II, and various other games. The site has strict rules against discussing illegal software.

Quote from d2jsp.org[479]:
<blockquote>
d2jsp was founded in 2002 on the mechanics and gameplay of Diablo II using the bot software developed by Paul Taulborg. Historically, the site was about the bot, but over the years it has evolved into more. Today, d2jsp is many things, to many people. It is a fertile trading site, an active blogging site, and a social network to meet and talk with friends. Even through all of this, d2jsp is still more than individual strengths, it is a rapidly growing community. As the social network of d2jsp has expanded, the forums have become a nexus of meeting new friends, catching up on old times, sharing stories and ideas, and discussing news. There are many subforums for a variety of different interests, with more being added on a regular basis. One of the major accomplishments of this site is that it is the most active gaming trading forums on the entire internet. Traders have all the tools to find what they need when they need it, a mediation team to assist them with trades, and a friendly moderation team to guide the forums and assist users with problems. d2jsp is no longer bound strictly to Diablo II as it once was, and will continue to evolve in the coming years.

Apart from being an extremely active trading site, d2jsp also serves as a friendly community. There are a massive amounts of forums concerning everything from music, sports, graphics and computer programming. Another example of trading using Forum Gold is to have a graphics artist make a signature, and then sell it for a certain amount of the forum currency. Other ways to earn Forum Gold is by either purchasing it for US Dollars, attempting to gamble at the site's Hourly Raffle or simply playing a game and selling your items at d2jsp.

The Battle Floor.

Not every member of this mass community is at peace with the dictatorships of Paul Taulborg ("njaguar"), however. Many members, most of which being affiliated or directly in contact with the Guild (mini communities within the forum) known as Major Chill, or Liberum Conspiro. These members were most famous in the era of the "Battle Floor", a subforum dedicated to mocking, humiliating, and debasing other people. Headed by Aj502, this forum thrived for years before it was shut down on a fateful January 2, 2007. This event occurred after an thread titled "Casualties of '06" in which local member, EldestElder, publically named several scandals associated with the moderators and administrator that involved unjust convictions and punishments by the staff, and illegal (by Forum policy) action taken by the moderators and Forum Upper Class that was left smoothed over so as not to defame their characters.

Some of the more frequent visitors to the Battle Floor include, but are not limited to:
Gohan
JRequalizer
LiekOMGAWD/l1username1l
Montesquieu/Andstuff/Stuffand
BaLdUrDaSh
LordPie
ColdFire724
EldestElder

Spirit-Warrior

Cidco
mtko
Timo_O
Tweak_er
Sketcht
EliteOwnage
Djdrago

Et, Cetera.

All of these members have had acts put upon them by the staff that are seen as unjust by the community at large. However, any opposition is quickly abolished by a flurry of bannings, suspensions, warnings, et cetera handed out by the D2jsp forum staff. It is interesting to note that any staff members to show any kinship of a sort with more than one member of the above list has been banned, or suspended for a minimum of a year. All have had their positions revoked.
