DJ & Production Career



DJ Mickey Bono has been DJing for twelve years and producing music for ten years. He currently DJs Saturdays at Bliss Ultra Lounge playing (Funky & Electro House), Tuesdays at Blue Martiniin West Palm Beach playing (Top 40, Funky & Electro House, 80's, 90's & Mash Ups) and Wednesdays & Thursdays at Vintage Lounge playing (Top 40, 80's, 90's & Mash Ups). Mickey started out DJing school dances, eventually working his way up to some of Orlando , Florida’s hottest nightclubs. He has held residencies at Orlando nightclubs: Tabu, Glo Lounge, Roxy, Club LaVela, Volcano, and House of Blues at Downtown Disney . Mickey can play a wide range of music from funky house, electro house , breakbeat , freestyle , hip hop, R&B, 80's, 90's and today’s current top 40. Mickey has DJ’d live radio mixshows on 95.3 Party and WA1A 107.1. Two of Mickey’s mixed CDs were featured on XM radio’s XM BPM Friday night mixshow AIR 81. Mickey has produced mashup remixes that are currently on The Crooklyn Clan's The Vault

Mickey Bono has been producing music since 1997.
He earned a degree in Music Production and Engineering from ARTI (Audio Recording Technology Institute). He began his production career with the dance act K5. K5 was signed to Robbins Entertainment in the US, ISBA Records in Canada and Universal Records in Germany & Europe. K5 had a Billboard Magazine Hot 100 hit with the song “Passion”. K5 played many venues and large raves throughout the U.S. and Canada. The music video for “Passion” was highly played on music video channels MTV and VIVA throughout Europe. Mickey’s last song with K5 which he wrote and produced, “Lovin’ Feelin’,” was one of the top 30 songs of year in 2001 on 95.3 Party. Mickey left K5 in 2001 to start working on his own production company New Millennium Entertainment. Since then he has been producing and remixing for several artists. He is currently working producing a new dance act called Beat Thrillerz. The first Beat Thrillerz single “Rain” was featured on the Promo Only Dance Radio series in March of 2006. The song was also licensed to be played in all Abercrombie & Fitch stores and featured on their website in April and May of 2006. Mickey also produced and co-wrote dance diva Rockell 's 2005 single “L.O.V.E.”.
