== DS-Play ==
DS-Play is a website part of Total Play that allows Nintendo DS users share their Nintendo Wifi Connection friend codes through a chat room. Altough thats what it was originally meant for users are starting to use it as a general gaming website. It offers forums for some other Nintendo consoles like the Wii and a seperate forum for many different Nintendo DS Wifi games. The Admins of the site are Rockee and Carlos. DS-play has many friendly and helpful members and it even has a forum for all the new members to post in and get aquainted with everyone else in. DS-play is also well layed out and very simple and easy to navigate through many web pages.

Features

Groopz- A section where members can create their own mini website.

Chat- Their are various chat rooms where members can share their friendcodes or just have a friendly chat.

Forums- Their are forums where members can make threads or reply to threads.

Radio- Their is a radio DJ'd by members.

Gaming Hubs- A member can make a hub where up to 3 other players can join with someone in a Wifi game wether they want to have a competetive match of Metroid Prime Hunters or just want to chill and relax with friends in Animal Crossing: Wild World. You can customise the rules of your own HUB however you want. In competetive matches and games, cheating will not be allowed in the Gaming HUB's and the cheater will be punsihed.

Decal Maker- On some Nintendo DS games you can make a decal. These are decals that people made online for a player to copy onto the game.

Nookmart- This is a little auctioning area for the popular Nintendo Wifi game Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Floridale (Beta)- This is an MMO on the website. It requires a plugin.

PM System- With this you can PM (Private Message) any user on the site for only them to see.

Moderators

Moderators (MOD's) are like the police force of DS-play and other Total-Play sites. They can punish and ban users. Do not request to be a MOD for if you do, you may be punished if you ask more than once and may never have the chance of becoming a MOD. MOD's are not selected by how many user points they have or how long they have been with DS-play. MOD's are selected by how that user behaves and acts while on DS-play. They must also have organized and clearly understandable posts.

User Points

User Points are points that you get from doing various things on DS-play. You get 1 user point per post in the forums, you can get points from submitting news, and you can get points from winning certain contests that can be found in the forums. There are certain things you can do with or without the use of points on DS-play. Once you do something that requires a certain ammount of points, you DO NOT lose the points, the points are just a requirement that you need to do that certain action. An example would be having anough points to make you own HUB in the Gaming HUB's. You can also unlock the Avatar and Sig uploader in the profile section when you have enough points.

Tournaments

DS-play also features many tournaments for popular DS Wifi games such as Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario Kart DS, and Star Fox Command. Some tournaments will have a reward for winning. This all depends on if the maker of that tournament wants to have a reward for their tournament or not. The maker of the tournament must first ask a MOD if it's ok to hand out points and the MOD is the actual person who hands out the points.

Total-Play Sites

DS-play is just one of the Total-Play sites. Wii-play is the only other Total-Play site that is currently up and running. Wii-play is exactly like DS-play, but revolves around the Nintendo Wii instead of the Nintendo DS. It can be accessed from the top of DS-play's home page on the Total-Play site bar.

News Section

DS-play also has a news section on the Home page that alerts users when there is something new going on in the gaming world. Any member can submit news into the news section, but it must first be reviewed by a MOD then if it's any good, the MOD will publish it and the user will recieve user points.

Chat Rooms

In addition to the Gaming HUB's, you can organise a quick match or matches in the chat rooms on DS-play. No one will recieve any user points for winning this way since it's not considered an official match. But if you just want to find someone to play as fast as possible, just go to the chat rooms. There is a chat room for each online game too. Not all Wifi DS games are supported by DS-play. You can of course request of an Admin to make DS-play support a certain game. Only request once though. If you keep requesting you have the chance of getting deducted user points or having your account banned.

Video Section

DS-play also has a video section where users can watch and submit videos that will appear in the video section only if they are approoved by a MOD. The videos in the video section do not have to be related to anything specific. As long as they were approoved by a MOD and they don't contain anything vulgar or bad, they can appear in the video section.
